Tjeld Bar – Award-Winning Interior Design

Tjeld Bar is a bold and atmospheric cocktail bar located in the heart of Oslo, designed to evoke a sense of intimacy, elegance, and subtle storytelling. Drawing inspiration from Nordic nature and maritime elements, the space merges natural textures, soft lighting, and minimalist forms to create a refined yet welcoming experience.

The design plays with contrasts—between raw and polished, old and new—blending tactile materials like stone, wood, and metal with clean lines and fluid spatial transitions. Every detail was considered to ensure both functional efficiency for staff and an immersive ambiance for guests.

I’m proud to share that Tjeld Bar was awarded the Silver Award in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category at the A’ Design Award & Competition—one of the most prestigious and competitive international design awards. This recognition highlights not only the aesthetic and technical quality of the project, but also the dedication and collaboration that went into bringing it to life.

Tjeld Bar is a testament to thoughtful craftsmanship, spatial harmony, and immersive experience. Being selected for this global platform affirms the vision and dedication poured into every detail of the project.
